TIE DYE DECORATIONS [From: Color]

Activity Summary:

Preshoolers can make "tie dye" decorations using markers and coffee filters.

What You Need:

•coffee filters
•bright colored markers (water soluble)
•water

What You Do:

  1. Straighten coffee filter as much as possible

  2. Color everywhere with colored markers

  3. Wet with cold water and squeeze (adult assistance might be required here)

  4. Straighten filter again and dampen with a paper towel
TIPS: Use gloves when wetting and squeezing colored coffee filter, without gloves you could end up with multi-colored fingers!
