FOOT GHOST [From: Special Days/Seasonal]
Written by: Liz Nutt [Liz is a teacher at C.E. Broughton Public School in Whitby, Ontario]

Age:

2-5 years

Activity Summary:

Children can make ghost shapes with their footprints.

What You Need:

•Black Construction paper
•White paint
•Dish of soapy water
•Towels

What You Do:

  1. Have the students come over one at a time and take off one shoe and sock.

  2. Paint their foot white (Kids can brush paint on own foot, you can paint kids' foot, or they can step in a flat dish of paint)

  3. Then have the student step on the black piece of construction paper.

  4. When the footprint is dry turn it upside down and colour in two black eyes in the heel section and you have a ghost.
Variation: Use different colours of paint and decorate the foot print to look like a dinosaur.
