What You Do:

  • Make up a pretend story and have the children help you with it.
  • Take turns coming up with a line in the story.
  • Start off with a question or two:
  • I am a butterfly, what color am I?
  • How far can I fly?
  • Where do I live?
  • What kind of house do I live in?
  • Hand out sheets of paper and let your little ones fill the page with color and shapes as they put their stories down on paper.
  • Some other ideas:
  • You are going on a trip ...
  • Where are you going?
  • How will you get there?
